2nd Black Belt Technique Manual

BEGGING HANDS  (Front Two Hand Grab To Wrists)

  1. After your double torquing heel palm, thrust under opponent’s chest, shuffling forward if needed, step through with your right to 11 o’clock to buckle his right  leg, as both hands grab his flesh at his chest (vice like move).
  2. While still maintaining grab, left rear crossover to 1 o’clock, then right slides out to right reverse bow to 1:30 buckling his left leg.
  3. While still maintaining grab, right front crossover to 7:30 to sweep his right leg, as you simultaneously execute a right ripping heel claw to his face (keep your elbow anchored in and down to your left). At this point you have released your grab and your left hand is checking while your right hand is doing the claw.
  4.  Unpivot counter clockwise from your twist stance and execute a left back kick to any available opening.
  5.  Left front crossover and double coverout to 4:30.

FLASHING  WINGS (Front Straight Right Punch)

  1. After your right hand chops (thrusting with the palm up) to opponent’s throat, your left foot circles clockwise to sweep his right forward leg (outside in) the almost in the same move, your right foot circles clockwise (inside out) to buckle his right leg, as you execute a right palm heel thrust to opponent’s face (your left hand is checking at this point).
  2. Grab his face with your right hand and with your left band bracing on his back to assist you in turn him around counter clockwise and with his back to you while still maintaining your hold execute a right knee kick to opponent’s spine.
  3. With your right leg still in the air, deliver a right side thrust kick to opponent’s left back of knee to buckle him further, and while crossing out from your last kick, rip his face with your right hand toward 9 o’clock.
  4. Double coverout to 9 o’clock

REPEATED  DEVASTATION  (Full Nelson)

  1. After your left outward thrusting elbow strike to opponent’s jaw, immediately hook your left hand around the left side of his neck as you drop your left foot back toward 12 o’clock to a right neutral bow stance, hook and pull opponent’s head toward you as you punch to the left hinge of your opponent’s jaw with your right fist.
  2.  With opponent’s head down, deliver a butterfly knee kick (left and then right) and with your right leg still in the air, deliver a right side thrust kick to the inside of  opponent’s right knee cap as you simultaneously execute a right torquing heel palm strike to opponent’s jaw (fingers down palm out)
  3.  Right front crossover and coverout to 12 o’clock.

 ENTANGLED WING (Front Arm Lock)

  1. After your right back elbow strike to opponent’s midsection or right ribcage, and with your left hand in guard position, as you step back to 1 o’clock to a right reverse bow stance to buckle opponent’s left leg, execute a back knuckle with your right hand (your forearm is vertical at this point and your left hand is grabbing his left wrist).
  2. Hook your right hand around and behind the left side of his neck. Pull his bead forward and down into a right knee to his face, plant your right foot down in place and deliver a left knee kick (torquing toward 11 o’clock) to opponent’s face.
  3.  Plant your left foot down in lace and again shoot your right foot back along the same 1 o’clock path to buckle his left foot further as you force his head down to the ground, while still maintaining control of his left arm then execute a right knee kick to the back of his left elbow to break it.
  4. Right front crossover and coverout twice to 4:30.

DEFYING  THE STORM  (Front Right Roundhouse  Club)

  1. After you bury a right inward overhead downward elbow strike to opponent’s upper spine with your left hand still grabbing opponent’s right wrist, your left hand releases  his arm and you pivot  clockwise (right front rotating twist stance) as you deliver a left inward elbow strike to the right side of his jaw passing through.
  2. As you now unpivot, execute a left outward elbow strike to the left side of his /’ face followed by a right inward heel of palm then claw to opponent’s left jaw. / Continue the torquing action and go into a right back scoop kick to his groin (all of this is timed together to add power to the scoop kick).
  3. Your scoop kick plants out to 6 o’clock immediately pivot counter clockwise and deliver a left spinning back kick to opponent’s solar plexus.
  4. You may have to hop to adjust (left gauging leg) for this next move, execute a right inward crescent kick to his face. With right foot in the air right front crossover an double coverout to 6 o’clock.

RAKING MACE (Front Two..Band Lapel Grab … Pull In)

  1. After your right inward horizontal elbow to the left jaw of your opponent as your left heel of palm simultaneously strikes to opponent’s right jaw to cause a sandwiching effect, execute a left two-finger eye book (this is a small clockwise circle) immediately followed by a right inward (counter clockwise looping) hooking heel palm claw to chin or face, as you are dropping back to a right cat stance (left is checking at this point).
  2. Execute a right front snap ball kick to groin as your right hand circles and drops down to cock (by your right thigh) and as you plant down from the kick, execute a right rising stiff-arm punch to opponent’s jaw, which continues on up and around (looping clockwise) into a right thrusting hand sword strike to opponent’s left side of neck.
  3. As opponent is moving off to the left and down, execute a left roundhouse kick to his head (you may have to adjust your right gauging leg for the kick).
  4.  With left leg still in the air, left front crossover and double coverout to 4:30.

THRUSTING  WEDGE (Front Two-Hand  High Push)

  1. After your right hand downward heel palm claw to opponent’s bridge of nose and eyes, continue your claw down to rake the opponent’s groin with a finger tip rake which continues down almost to the ground. Immediately come right back up with a right reverse handsword strike to the opponent’s groin (at this point your left hand is checking the opponent’s right arm).
  2. Your right arm now circles around to the right of and in back of his l·eft knee as your left leg steps through to a left neutral bow stance, to buckle the inside of the opponent’s right knee, as you execute a left heel palm thrust to his jaw (if opponent is knocked back too far at this point, you execute a right rear crossover stepping out into a left neutral bow to buckle his right knee).
  3.  With your left hand grab the back of his right knee (from outside in), and with opponent now lying on his back on the ground (his head is pointing to 1:30) and with you now holding both his legs, drop to a left close kneel stance with your right knee landing between his legs to his groin.
  4. Opponent may react to the groin pain by trying to close his legs, so you now reverse your grabs to the inside of his knees (Hooking Wings) to hold his legs apart, and then you execute a left heel stomp to his groin, and from the heel stomp, left crossover stomp to his left ankle.
  5. From the stomp to his ankle, leap out into a double coverout to 6 o’clock.

SHIELD AND MACE  (Front Straight Step-Through  Right Punch)

  1. After your right outward handsword strike to opponent’s right knee, leave it against his knee as you execute a right knife·edge kick to the back of the opponent’s left knee.
  2. As your kick plants down to 2 o’clock, your right chopping hand continues through and comes back over counter clockwise into a right heel palm claw to his jaw and face.
  3. At this point he is falling toward you, you switch your right hand to grab to his chin and pull him in and down to a left knee kick up to the back of his neck.                                                                    ·
  4. Plant your left foot straight down and shift your right foot back around counter clockwise to 9 o’clock into a left neutral bow stance, as your left hand is pushing the back of his head your right hand grab jerks his chin to snap the neck.
  5. Use your right hand to check his right arm or to cover your groin. Step back left (gauging leg) and execute a low right snap ball kick to opponent’s head.
  6.  Right front crossover double coverout to 10:30.

TRIPPING ARROW (Front Bear Hug …. Arms Free)

  1. After you have thrown opponent onto his back and with your left hand still grabbing his right wrist, immediately after your right  heel  stomp  under opponent’s chin, plant your right foot toward 10:30 (to the left of his head) and drop into a left dose kneel stance with your right knee to his solar plexus as you  execute a right two finger poke to opponent’s eyes.
  2.  Spring up from the right knee and switch in place (right foot back then left foot over to the left of his body) and drop into a right close kneel facing 4 o’clock so that your left knee drops onto his abdomen.
  3.  Stand up as you adjust your left slightly· to the right and pivot counter clockwise (facing 1:30) and again drop down into a left close kneel stance with your right knee landing on his groin.
  4.  Immediately spring up into a right front crossover, double coverout to 1:30.

FALLEN CROSS (Rear Two..Hand Choke)

  1.  After your right inward or downward diagonal elbow smash to his head (depending upon the circumstances) and with your left hand checking opponent’s arms down and toward him. Immediately execute a right outward horizontal heel claw.
  2. Immediately execute a left knee to opponent’s face and follow up with a left heel palm thrust to the jaw as you step through to 5 o’clock with your left leg.
  3. Execute a right step through front snap ball kick to opponent’s right inner thigh to buckle and force his leg out.
  4. Plant your right down and back (gauging leg) and execute a left roundhouse kick to head or any available opening.
  5. Left front crossover and double coverout to 10:30.

RETURNING STORM (Roundhouse And Backhand Club Attack)

  1. After your right vertical upward stiff-arm back knuckle strike to opponent’s face, immediately drop back your right foot toward 11:30 into a left neutral bow stance,  as your right hand re-grabs opponent’s right wrist as your left  hand grabs at the elbow, immediately shift your left foot to 7:30 into a left neutral bow stance and force opponent face down onto the ground (his head will be pointing toward 9 o’clock).
  2.  While still maintaining grab with your right hand, adjust your right leg (gauging leg) and execute a left heel stomp to the back of the neck (or side kick to head).
  3. Your foot swings back clockwise to 7:30 (right foot) over opponent’s body as you use both your arms to yank opponent’s right arm to dislocate his shoulder (Dom. Circles).
  4. Now adjust your left leg (you may have to hop over his body} to 7:30 as you execute a right looping downward roundhouse kick to the back of his head, (as in Leap of Death}.
  5.  Right front crossover and double coverout to 7:30.

CROSSED TWIGS (Rear Two-Hand Grab To Wrists)

  1. After your left knee kick to opponent’s right ribcage, immediately switch to a right chicken knee kick to opponent’s ribcage toward 7:30, and with your right knee still in the air, execute a right knife·edge thrust kick to opponent’s left
  2. Knee no sooner than you complete the kick you bounce it off the ground and right back up into a right rear heel scoop kick to opponent’s left jaw.
  3. From your rear scoop, kick plant out to 3 o’clock, to a right neutral  bow stance. Immediately pivot counter  clockwise  into a left stiff leg sweep to a left reverse bow toward 6:30, to buckle the inside of opponent’s right knee, and simultaneously with this action, execute a left grabbing heel palm claw to opponent’s groin as your  right  hand  is checking.
  4. Now switch into a left neutral bow toward 9 o’clock as your left hand hooks and checks opponent’s left shoulder (palm up and elbow anchored like “Begging Hands”). Now execute a right knee kick to jaw as you right palm heel hammers do n (so that we have a sandwiching effect).
  5.  Plant your right foot down and slightly back and then immediately left front crossover toward 1:30 as you execute a left heel palm claw to opponent’s face.
  6. Double coverout to 1:30

FLASHING   MACE   (Front  Straight   Right Punch)

  1. Simultaneously as you are completing your right looping overhead punch spin or pivot your stance clockwise into a right reverse bow toward 4:30 to buckle the back of opponent’s right knee, and as this action is taking place, continue the motion of your right overhead punch, looping your right hand down counter clockwise into a right hammerfist strike to the opponent’s jaw (your left hand is checking at this point).
  2.  At this point, opponent is now falling on his way down, immediately switch your right reverse bow (which is now really a left forward bow) into a right wide knee stance as your left heel palm strikes up and to opponent’s back of neck as he is on his way down.
  3. Immediately shift your left foot back to 7 o’clock, as your right hand executes a right inward hammerfist going diagonally and down to opponent’s midsection as he falls on down to his back (his head points toward 10 o’clock).
  4. Now shuffle forward with your left foot (gauging leg) as you execute a right shovel kick (the ball of your foot hits his nose and the heel bits his jaw) from the shovel kick with your right foot still in the air, right crossover plant, and execute a left spinning low back heel kick or stomp to his head.
  5. Left front crossover and double coverout to 8 o’clock.

HUGGING  PENDULUM  (Front Right Side Kick)

  1. After your right inward horizontal hooking heel of palm claw to opponent’s face (keeping your right elbow bent) as you continue the action of your right hand swing your right foot over to 9 o’clock and with no loss of momentum strike your opponent’s face with a left outward horizontal heel of palm claw, and while still keeping your energy going pivot counter clockwise as you execute a right hooking roundhouse punch to opponent’s face.
  2.  Immediately adjust your left foot back slightly and still maintaining this circular flow, execute a right roundhouse ball kick to opponent’s sternum.
  3. Now immediately plant your right foot down to 11 o’clock, and spin around the counter clockwise as you execute a left spinning low side thrust kick (using your heel to opponent’s neck.
  4. Left front crossover and double coverout to 7:30.

WINGS OF SILK (Rear Two-Arm Lock)

  1. After your left hand grabs opponent’s left wrist and you have spun out and executed the right uppercut break as to your opponent’s left elbow joint (using your forearm).As you pivot into a right neutral bow stance, execute a right horizontal back knuckle strike through his left ribcage.
  2. Simultaneously execute a right roundhouse kick to the back of his left knee as you right heel palm the back of his left elbow (allowing your right hand to follow through over top of his arm).
  3. Grab his left hand with both your hands (this is an outward wrist lock like the extension to “Crossing Talon” only left handed) and twist his left wrist clockwise.
  4. While maintaining your grab with your left hand slip your right under and through his left arm (this is a wrap around type motion like “Controlled Wing”) and bring it up (like a waiter carrying a tray) to the left side of his left forearm, to cause a shoulder separation.
  5. Immediately torque clockwise by pivoting in place into a right forward bow stance as you execute a left heel palm thrust to opponent’s jaw, followed immediately by a left knee to groin which switches to a left front snap kick to his groin (all in the same motion).
  6.  Left front crossover and double coverout to  10:30.

GATHERING  CLOUDS  (Front Straight  Right Punch)

  1. After your right leg buckle and right inward elbow to opponent’s right ribcage, execute a right inward looping hooking two·finger eye hook to opponent’s eyes as you simultaneously deliver a right front scoop kick out through opponent’s groin and plant back (into a left neutral bow) to 7 o’clock.
  2. While checking with your left hand, execute a right front snap kick to groin, and plant down (gauging leg) followed by a left chicken kick (front snap) to his chin.
  3. Plant down your left leg {gauging leg) beside your left foot, and pivot clockwise into a right spinning back kick to opponent’s right knee.
  4. Plant down your right leg (gauging leg) beside your left foot, and turn counter clockwise to execute a left knife·edge thrust kick to opponent’s left knee, planting it down into a left reverse bow stance.
  5.  Pivot counter clockwise into a front rotating twist stance as you simultaneously execute a left outward back knuckle strike followed by a right inward heel of palm  claw to his head  and face.
  6.  As you unpivot from your twist stance, execute a left inward heel of palm claw horizontally to his face and then continue the motion to flow into a left back kick to any available opening (stay low as you kick).
  7.  Left front crossover and cover out twice.

GRIPPING  TALON (Front Left Hand Direct Wrist Grab)

  1. After your right knee kick to opponent’s face, and with your right knee still in the air, simultaneously as you plant your right foot back and down to 4 o’clock into a rear twist stance, reach over (aJong the right side of his jaw) and grab his face and using your right elbow as a fulcrum unpivot into a left neutral bow stance as you spin him around and over onto his back on your left knee (you are still maintaining your left hand grab to his left wrist).
  2. Immediately drop back with your left foot to 4:30 as you force (more so with your right hand) your opponent’s back onto your right knee. While still maintaining your right grab onto the shoulder, strike with a left hammerfist to the left ribcage of the opponent as you pivot slightly to a right forward bow stance, then pivot to your left, into a right neutral bow as you execute a right hamrnerfist to the sternum.
  3. Immediately pivot counter clockwise into a left forward bow stance, force your opponent down (toward 6 o’clock) onto his back, and as be goes down you execute a right inside forearm strike to his chin, and without hesitation as he falls to the ground execute a right sweeping scoop kick (like a cross over that scoops up) to the chin, and with the right foot up in the air drop back with a right knife edge scooping stomp, where you catch nose and what ever is in sight.
  4. Right front crossover double coverout twice to 6 o’clock.

 SNAKING  TALON (Front Two Hand Push)

  1. Immediately after your last right rear kick, instead of planting in front of you, do a right rear crossover into a right rear twist stance, (now this is a situation where we assume that our opponent is going back and hitting a wall, and during this time we realize that he is going to bounce back off the wall) you unpivot as you drop on to your right side as you execute a left roundhouse kick to his groin (you are also on your right knee as you kick) (this is going to give you a height differential as you are low on this kick so that you can lift and push up into the next kick).                                     ·
  2. Plant your left knee and spin clockwise and using your arms to assist you, push up into a right spinning rear thrust kick to any available opening.
  3. From your last kick, right front crossover and leap out of the action onto your left leg.

CIRCLING  THE HORIZON  (Front Step Through Right Punch)

  1. After your right underhand reverse hammerfist with your left hand still guarding, drop to your left knee as your left hand checks opponent’s right arm and thrust your right foot back to 5 o’clock (sliding it along the ground like a knife edge thrust kick) to sweep opponent’s legs, as you simultaneously execute a right heel of palm thrust to his solar plexus (this strike goes the opposite of the kick and is aimed toward 11 o’clock).  At this point opponent is lying on his back.
  2. Now execute a right front snap kick to opponent’s ribs and as you bring your snap kick back in, drop it down into a stomp to his ribs.
  3. Pull your right foot off of his body and plant it down beside his right hip as you stand up and execute a right rear downward  heel stomp to his groin.
  4. Plant your right foot down next to his right hip and go into a left spinning back stomp to his face, putting your entire body weight into this action.
  5. Left front crossover and double coverout to 6 o’clock.

RETREATING  PENDULUM  (Front Right Rear Kick)

  1. After your right rear heel scoop kick to groin and your right reverse bow to buckle his right back of knee, and from your right reverse bow stance, pivot clockwise and drop into a right close kneel as you execute a left palm claw grab  to grab and squeeze opponent’s testicles from the rear and from in between his legs (your left hand is checking across his body to his left hip or shoulder  depending on where he is).
  2. At this you start to rise up by first executing a right back knuckle to the opponent’s right kidney, as you stand on up execute a left heel of palm claw to the left side of your opponent’s face, as you switch your stance to a right forward.
  3.  Now switch your forward bow stance to a right neutral bow stance as you execute a right inward handsword strike to the right side of his neck.
  4. Pull your right foot back into a right cat stance and execute a right roundhouse kick to the right slide of his face.
  5. From the kick right front crossover and double coverout toward 7:30.

GIFT OF DESTINY (Handshake)

  1. Unpivot counter clockwise as you execute a right inward horizontal elbow strike to opponent’s left jaw, and continue pivoting in the same direction 360° into a left  outward elbow strike to the left side of opponent’s jaw.
  2. Immediately slide your left foot back toward 9 o:clock into a left reverse bow to buckle his right knee from the inside as you strike his groin with a left hammerfist.
  3. Pivot counter clockwise into a left forward bow stance as you execute a right heel palm thrust to the jaw followed by a right knee to the groin.
  4. From your right knee, right front crossover and cover out twice.

DESTRUCTIVE  TWINS   (Two Hand  Choke·-Pull  In)

  1. After your right punch to opponent’s ribcage, as you maintain your left grab, adjust into a position for a right rear hook kick to opponent’s groin. Plant your right foot back in a right reverse bow to buckle opponent’s left leg as you execute a right uppercut under his left elbow causing a break.
  2. Again maintain your left grab to opponent’s left wrist as you reach your right hand under and around his neck to grab his head. Drag your left foot to your right foot and shoot your right foot back into a hard right reverse bow as you jerk down on his head to flip and throw opponent on his back with his feet pointing toward 7:00.
  3. Drop into a right dose kneel facing 9:00 as your left knee smashes his left collar bone or neck.
  4. Stand up and step over his head with your left foot into a left twist stance toward 9:00 and pivot counter clockwise and execute a right ball kick to the groin.
  5. Immediately drop down with your right knee to his solar plexus as you simultaneously  execute a right  half  fist to his throat.
  6. Spring up from his body as you execute a right  shovel kick through his face followed by a right stomp to his face. From the stomp kick plant your right foot off and above his head and hop fotward on your right foot executing a left back kick to the head as you plant your right foot.
  7.  Your left foot plants toward 9:00, to the right of opponent’s head in a left front twist stance.  Unwind and sweep with your right foot across opponent’s face counter clockwise, toward 10:30, plant and execute a left rear stomp kick to the right side of opponent’s neck.
  8. Front crossover and cover out twice.

BROKEN RAM (Front Tackle)

  1. After your right overhead looping downward hammerfist to opponent’s left jaw which is followed by your right foot planting back from your previous move (buckling inside of opponent’s left leg). Immediately execute a right heel claw in an upward motion followed by a left heel claw in an underhand fashion (this action should have your opponent now standing up).
  2. Now immediately execute an upward  left knee to opponent’s groin or ribs, immediately followed by a right knee to the same area (these knees are in the chicken fashion) and with the right leg still in the air, deliver  a right  knife­ edge kick to the inside of your opponent’s right knee.
  3. With your right kick still in the air, plant it out toward 6 o’clock and pivot counter clockwise into a left spinning heel scoop kick to your opponent’s jaw and with your foot now cocked execute a left back thrust kick to any available opening  (jaw, throat or solar plexus).
  4. From your last left kick, left front crossover and double coverout to 6 o’clock.

TWIST OF FATE  (Front  Two..Hand Push)

  1. After you execute your right knee to opponent’s spine or head, plant your right foot down toward 5:30 against his back as you force his arms forward to prepare for the next move.   Opponent is sitting up against your right lower leg.
  2. Immediately execute a right and left simultaneous inward strike to his ears using the palms (at this point you are in a right forward bow stance).
  3. From your palm strikes, execute double claws ripping up and in toward you as you switch your stance into a right neutral bow, then again reach down as you cross your right under your left and execute double crossed ripping claws up and in toward you as you switch your stance back into a right neutral bow.
  4. As you continue the upward ripping action of your crossed claws, loop them up  and out and into double inward handsword  strikes to the right  and left sides of his neck simultaneously (this last move is done while again switching to a forward bow stance).
  5.  From the double chops, execute a double two·finger eye hook with your right and left hand hooking  both  of his  at the same time  and pulling up  and in
  6. After you execute your right palm strike to break his right wrist and your right snapping ball kick to opponent’s solar plexus, plant down forward  from the kick and using marriage of gravity execute a right outward horizontal  back knuckle strike into the pocket of his right jaw hinge (at this point you are in a right neutral bow and your left hand is still maintaining the grab on his right wrist). Immediately and without any loss of motion flow into a right outward back knuckle followed by a left vertical punch to the same right jaw hinge as you pivot into a right forward bow.
  7. Follow up with a right stiff arm back knuckle to opponent’s face as you pivot back into a right neutral bow.
  8. With your right hand having followed through and up to the left side of your head, now execute a left rear crossover, into a left rear twist stance as you execute a right outward horizontal back elbow strike to opponent’s jaw (elbow follows through after hitting).

LONG FORM 7

Salutation

  1. With both sticks in the left hand, raise the sticks vertically.
  2. Do the first two counts of the regular salutation.
  3. Pull the sticks back to the chest and regrab in each hand as the feet do the third and fourth counts of the regular salutation.
  4. Do counts 5 through 7 of the regular salutation, and then close into a pushdown.

Set I: Five Storms (Right Kick-Punch Combination)

  1. Step with the left foot to 6:30, into a right neutral bow with a left downward block and a right inward block (i.e., universal block), followed without pause by a right outward chop to the right neck .
  2. Shift into a right forward bow with a left stab to the neck.
  3. Shift back into a right neutral bow with a right stab to the belly, as the left stick descends on top of it.
  4. Step with the left foot to 4:30, into a right forward bow with a left outward chop to the left neck, and a right outward chop to the left ribs.
  5. Do a right front crossover to 7:30 with a right inward chop to the left neck, as the left hand checks low.

Set II: Five Storms {Left Kick-Punch Combination)

  1. Step with the left foot to 7:30 and then the right foot to 5:30, into a left neutral bow with a right downward block and a left inward block (i.e., universal block), followed without pause by a left outward chop to the left neck.
  2. Shift into a left forward bow with a right stab to the neck.
  3. Shift back into a left neutral bow with a left stab to the belly, as the right stick descends on top of it.
  4. Step with the right foot to 7:30, into a left forward bow with a right outward chop to the right neck, and a left outward chop to the right ribs.
  5. Do a left front crossover to 3:00 with a left inward chop to the left neck, as the right hand checks low.

Set III: Reversing Storm (Left Step-Through Punch)

  1. Step with the right foot to 4 :30 into a left neutral bow with a right inward block. Step with the left foot to 4:30 into a right neutral bow as you bring the left hand under the right hand in an inward-outward block (as in Windmill Guard), as the right hand does an outward horizontal strike to the left ribs. Finally, have the right hand roll up to strike the top of his left arm.
  2. Shift into a right forward bow with a left uppercut to the left face, and then have the left hand check diagonally down on the left shoulder.

Set IV: Reversing Storm (Right Step-Through Punch)

  1. Step with the left foot to 10:30 into a right neutral bow with a left inward block.
  2. Step with the right foot to 7:30 into a left neutral bow as you bring the right hand under the left hand in an inward-outward block (as in Windmill Guard), as the left hand does an outward horizontal strike to the right ribs. Finally, have the left hand roll up to strike the top of his right arm.
  3. Shift into a left forward bow with a right uppercut to the right face, and then have the right hand check down on the right shoulder.
  4. Do a left front crossover to 4:30 with a left inward strike to the back of the neck and then step through to 4:30.

Set V: Repeating Storm (Left Step Through Punch)

  1. Step back with the left foot to 3:30 into a right forward bow with a left outward strike.
  2. Shift into a right neutral bow with a right inward horizontal strike to the left kidney, followed by a right outward horizontal strike to the left floating ribs.
  3. As the right hand checks down on his left arm, shift into a right forward bow with a left uppercut to the chin.
  4. As the left hand checks his left arm down, pivot into a right neutral bow with a right uppercut to the chin, followed by a right inward horizontal strike through his left knee.
  5. Do a right front crossover to 6:30 and a left step through to 9:00 with a right outward strike to the chest, as the left hand maintains the check.

Set VI: Repeating Storm (Right Step Through Punch)

  1. Step back with the right foot to 6:30 into a left forward bow with a right outward strike.
  2. Shift into a left neutral bow with a left inward horizontal strike to the  right kidney, followed by a left outward horizontal strike to the right floating ribs.
  3. As the left hand checks down on his right arm, shift into a left forward bow  with a right uppercut to the chin.
  4. As the right hand checks his right arm down, pivot into a left neutral bow with a left uppercut to the chin, followed by a left inward horizontal strike through his right kidney.
  5. Do a left front crossover to 4:30 with a left outward strike to the chest.

 Set VII: Clashing Storm (Right Kick-Punch Combination)

  1. Step with the right foot to 5:30 into a left neutral bow with a right downward outward block and a left inward block (i.e., a universal.block).
  2. Step with the right foot to 12:00 into a right neutral bow with a left horizontal outward strike to the right neck and a right vertical upward outward strike to the mastoid.
  3. Step with the left foot and then the right foot to 12:00 into a left neutral bow with a right downward check to the right kidney and a left inward horizontal strike to the left face (from behind him).
  4. Do a right rear crossover to 1:00 into a left front twist as the left hand circles down inward to the right kidney and the right hand strikes inward to the right mastoid.

  1. Step with the left foot to 12:30 into a right neutral bow facing 6:00 with a left downward outward block and a right inward block (i.e., a universal block).
  2. Step with the left foot to 6:00 into a left neutral bow with a right horizontal outward strike to the left neck and a left vertical upward outward strike to the mastoid.
  3. Step with the right foot and then the left foot to 6:00 into a right neutral bow with a left downward check to the left kidney and a right inward horizontal strike to the right face (from behind him).
  4. Do a left rear crossover to 4:30 into a left rear twist stance as the right hand circles down and in to the left kidney and the left hand strikes inward to the left mastoid.

  1. Step with the left foot to 10:30 into a left neutral bow with a left inward block and a right inward horizontal strike to his right floating ribs.
  2. Shift into a left forward bow as the left hand checks and the right hand strikes downward to the right kidney.
  3. Shift back into a left neutral bow as the right hand does an outward check and the left hand does a downward and inward strike to his right kidney.
  4. Shift into a left forward bow with a left inward check and a right inward horizontal strike to his right face.
  5. Shift into a left neutral bow with a right downward inward strike to his right kidney.
  6. Do a left front crossover to 4:30 with a left inward horizontal strike to his right mastoid.

  1. Step with the right foot to 3:00 into a right neutral bow with a right inward block with a left upward/outward block.
  2. Step with the left foot to 3:00 into a left front twist stance with a left inward horizontal strike to the face.
  3. Pivot clockwise into a right forward bow to 9:00 with a right outward horizontal strike to the ribs and a left inward horizontal strike to the left bicep. The right hand takes over the check as the left hand does an inward upward strike to the face.
  4. Step with the right foot to 3:00 into a horse, facing 12:00, behind him as the left hand goes through a zero strike and hits the left kidney.

Set XIII: Whirling Storm (Left Step-Through Punch)

  1. Step with the left foot to 6:00 into a right neutral bow with a right inward block at or above the left elbow and a left outward block at the left wrist. The right hand circles down to hit the knee as the left hand checks his arm . Have the right hand continue up to hit the mastoid, and then down to the bicep.

  1. Step with the right foot to 6:00 into a left neutral bow with a left inward block at or above the right elbow and a right outward block at the right wrist. The left hand circles down to hit the knee as the right hand checks his arm. Have the left hand continue up to hit the mastoid, and then down to the bicep.
  2. Shift into a left forward bow as the right hand does an inward upward strike to the face, as the left hand checks the arm.
  3. Shift back into a left neutral bow as the right hand checks the arm. The left hand strikes the face, the back of the knee, and then back up to the face as we do a left front crossover to 4: 30.

Set XV: Destructive Storm (Right Step-Through Punch From The Left Side)

  1. Unwind clockwise into a horse facing 6:00 with a right extended outward block, followed by a left inward parry as the right hand circles into an inward horizontal strike to the right armpit.
  2. Do a left front crossover to 9:00, sweeping his leg, unwind clockwise , and then sweep the right foot to 9:00 with a right outward strike to the kidney, as the left hand checks vertically.
  3. Do a right front kick to 3:00 to his left knee and plant to 3:00 with a right inward strike to his face.
  4. Spin counter -clockwise as the left foot sweeps to 3:00 as the left hand does an outward strike to his kidney with a right inward strike to his right  kick.

Set XVI: Destructive Storm (Left Step-Through Punch From The Right Side)

  1. Shift into a horse facing 6:00 with a left extended outward block, followed by a right inward parry as the left hand circles into an inward horizontal strike to the right  armpit.
  2. Do a right front crossover to 3:00, sweeping his leg, unwind counter-clockwise, and then sweep the left foot to 3:00 with a left outward strike to the kidney.
  3. Do a left front kick to 9:00 to his right knee and plant to 9:00 with a left inward strike to his face.
  4. Spin clockwise as the right foot sweeps to 9:00 as the right hand does an outward strike to his kidney with a left inward strike to his upper back.

  1. Plant the right foot to 10:30 in a right neutral bow with a left downward block and a right inward block, and then a left outward block and a right strike to his left kidney.
  2. Shift into a right forward bow with a left uppercut to the face as the right hand checks.
  3. The left hand strikes down to the kidney as the right hand circles and rechecks.
  4. As the left hand rises to check, the right hand drops to strike the back of the left knee.
  5. Both hands circle inward to strike outward (the right hand to the left clavicle, and the left hand to his knee) as the left foot kicks to 12:00 to his right knee and plants to 12:00.

Set XIX: Twisting Storm (Right Front Kick, A Right Punch, And A Left Punch)

  1. Pivot clockwise into a right neutral bow facing 6:00 with a right downward block for the kick, a left inward block ( i.e., universal block) for the right punch, and then for the left punch, a right inward block, and a left outward check under the right hand.
  2. As the right hand does an inward horizontal check to the chest, do a left front kick to his belly, and plant to 6:00 in a left neutral bow with a left inward strike to the right face that passes through to check the left face and then twist counter clockwise with a right inward strike to the left face.
  3. Rake both sticks down the pectorals, and then do a right front kick to the groin, planting back to 6:00 in a right neutral bow with a right inward strike to the right face, as the left hand checks low.

Set XX: Twisting Storm (Left Front Kick, A Left Punch, And A Right Punch)

  1. Pivot counter-clockwise into a left neutral bow facing 12:00 with a left downward block for the kick, a right inward block (i.e., universal block) for the left punch, and then for the right punch, a left inward block, and a right outward check under the left hand.

  2. Do a left front kick to his groin, planting to 1:30 in a left neutral bow. As you land do a left outward strike to his right neck, above a right outward strike to his left neck .
  3. Do a right front kick to his belly, planting to 1:30 in a right neutral bow. As you land, do a left inward strike to the left neck with a right inward strike to the right neck.
  4. As the left hand checks, do a left rear crossover to 2:30, and then step with the right foot to 2:30 into a right reverse bow, buckling his leg as the right hand strikes down to the groin, with the butt end.
  5. Step with the right foot to 9:30 as the right hand rises under the neck to straighten him.
  6. Step with the left foot to 2:30 into a left reverse bow as the left hand strikes down to the groin, with the butt.
  7. Pull the left foot out slightly and then twist counter clockwise into a left front twist as the left hand rises to an outward strike to the face and then a right inward strike to the face, then a right outward strike with a left inward strike.
  8. Step with the right foot to 3:00 with a right inward strike to the left face as the left hand checks low.

Set XXIV : Criss-Crossing Storms (Left Low Front Kick)

  1. Step with the left foot to 4:30 into a right neutral bow with both hands doing downward outward blocks (i.e., an x-block, right on top).
  2. Do a right front kick to his belly, planting to 10:30 in a right neutral bow . As you land do a right outward strike to his left neck, above a left outward strike to his right neck.
  3. Do a left front kick to his belly, planting to 10:30 in a left neutral bow . As  you land, do a right inward strike to the right neck with a left inward strike to the left neck .
  4. As the right hand checks, do a right rear crossover to 9 :30, and then step w ith the left foot to 9:30 into a left reverse bow, buckling his leg as the left hand strikes down to the groin, with the butt end.
  5. Step with the left foot to 3:30 as the left hand rises under the neck to straighten him.
  6. Step with the right foot to 9 :30 into a right reverse bow as the right hand strikes down to the groin, with the butt end.

  3. Shift into a left close kneel with a right uppercut to the midsection .
  4. As the right hand rolls over to check the shoulders, shift into a left reverse close kneel as the left hand strikes the kidneys.
  5. Shift back into a left close kneel as the left hand checks the arm and the right hand strikes down to the mastoid.

Set XXVI: Thundering Storms (Left Kick-Punch Combination)

  1. Step with the left foot to 6:00 into a right neutral bow with a left downward block and a right inward block (i.e., universal block) .
  2. Do a right roundhouse kick to the back of the left knee, and plant back to the same place.
  3. Shift into a right close kneel with a left uppercut to the midsection .
  4. As the left hand rolls over to check the shoulders, shift into a right reverse close kneel as the right hand strikes the kidneys .
  5. Shift back into a right close kneel as the right hand checks the arm and the left hand strikes down to the mastoid.

Set XXVII: Leaping Storm (Right Step-Through Punch)

  1. Hop to 9 :00 onto the left foot in a left crane stance facing 12:00 with a left inward block and a right inward strike to the ribs.
  2. Do a right side kick to 1:30 to the back of his right knee to buckle and turn him.
  3. Plant the right foot to 1:30 in a horse with a right downward strike to the kidneys.
  4. Step with the left foot to 12 :00 behind him and then step with the right foot into a left neutral bow as the left hand loops up and inward to strike the front of his face.
  5. Do a right rear crossover to 1:30 as the left hand checks down and the right hand does an inward strike to the mastoid.

Set XXVIII: Leaping Storm (Left Step-Through Punch)

  1. Hop to 9:00 onto the right foot in a right crane stance facing 6:00 with a  right inward block and a left inward strike to the ribs.
  2. Do a left side kick to 4:30 to the back of his left knee to buckle and turn him.
  3. Plant the left foot to 4:30 in a left neutral bow with a left downward strike to the kidneys.
  4. Step with the right foot to 6:00 behind him and then step with left foot into a right neutral bow as the right hand loops up and inward to strike the front of his face .
  5. Do a left rear crossover to 3:00 as the right hand checks down and the left hand does an inward strike to the mastoid.

Closing Moves:

  1. Step with the left foot to 9 :00 into a horse facing  12:00. Do a universal block on the left side (left low), and a universal block on the right side (right low).
  2. Do a left outward check with a right inward/outward double horizontal strike.
  3. Do a right outward strike with a left inward/outward double horizontal strike.
  4. Do a left rising block with a right inward horizontal strike.
  5. Do a right rising block with a left inward horizontal strike.
  6. Cross both hands inward and outward at face level, and then knee level.
  7. Twirl both sticks downward 1.5 times, and then up into the armpits on both sides.

Salutation

  1. Regrab the sticks from below as you bring your left foot to your right foot.
  2. Pull the sticks forward, and place both of them in the left hand.
  3. As the left hand raises the sticks vertically, do the first two counts of the regular salutation.
  4. Pull the sticks back to the chest and regrab in each hand as the feet do the third and fourth counts of the regular salutation.
