American Kenpo Karate has several rituals and traditions, but amongst the most memorable for any kenpoist is the “Ceremonial Kick.”  The Ceremonial Kick has become a right of passage transitioning students from one rank to the next and is awarded immediately after a belt test.  In the video above, Mr. Parker explains that the kick “should be felt because…you should always remember that what you teach to others they earn and they are not given it.”
